REPLACED DISCHARGE NOZZLE IN PRESSURE VESSEL

Barclay Mechanical completed an ASME pressure vessel repair for Pitman Farms’ turkey feed plant in Sanpete County. Pitman Farms needed a discharge nozzle replaced in one of its pressure vessels, which involved complex, ASME certified welds using Barclay Mechanicals R Stamp code.

We replaced the discharge nozzle in a five-foot diameter pressure vessel for Pitman Farms; the pressure vessel had a steam-jacket surrounding its exterior. There were various levels of complexity in this project. Barclay Mechanical’s team of three highly-skilled pipe-welders and pipe-fitters had to cut a wide circumference around the steam jacket (outside wall), then cut the inside wall in order to access and repair the discharge nozzle. Once the nozzle was taken out and replaced with a functional nozzle, we used our ASME welding repair proficiencies to reseal the inside wall and steam-jacketed wall.
